5 major differences between traditional neon lights and LED neon lights
Neon lights are a type of cold cathode glow discharge tube with a strong ability to penetrate the atmosphere through its radiation spectrum. They have bright and colorful colors, and their luminous efficiency is significantly better than ordinary incandescent lamps. Their line structure has rich expressive power, and they can be processed and bent into any geometric shape, meeting design requirements. So what are the differences between LED neon lights and traditional neon lights? I believe many people have doubts,
The difference between LED neon lights and traditional neon lights:
1. Traditional neon lights have high investment and complex processes, which can cause inconvenience when using off duty pipes, high-voltage electricity, and inert gases. The LED neon light adopts a brand new structure and LED technology, with a specially made PVC shell wrapped with bright LED bulbs. It uses unique optical technology and specialized shell design, which does not increase the intensity and uniformity of light, and the delivery process is simplified, improving production efficiency;
2. LED neon lights have higher brightness, while traditional neon lights have lower brightness;
3. LED neon lights have longer lifespan and durability. On the basis of LED technology, the lifespan of neon lights can reach an ultra long service life. Compared to glass neon lights, their durability is beyond doubt because there is no need to consider the issue of glass neon lights breaking;
4. LED neon lights are more energy-efficient. Flexible all body light strips can save over 70% of energy consumption and usage costs. The glass neon light is 26.25W/M, while the LED flexible neon light strip has a minimum power of 2.8W;
5. Traditional neon lights use transformers to increase the voltage from 220V to 15000V to excite inert gas in glass tubes, emitting monochromatic light along the outline of the font pattern. Two sets of glass tubes are required for each color. The font is too large and the middle of the strokes is not bright; Too small and complex to be processed. Flexible neon lights require a working voltage of 24V and only emit low heat. During installation, they can also be cut into any length and bent into different shapes (can be bent to circles with a radius of only 4cm).
